Categorizing the various types of lies which Donald Trump tells can keep psychiatrists and sociologists quite busy. One of the most popular categories is a variation on the theme: "I'm going to do/reveal something in two weeks. You'll be astonished then."
That applied to everything from "Infrastructure Week" which never arrived, to his new stance on the GOP-led abortion bans which he sort of muddled through, to the oft-told "I'm looking forward to testifying in court" lie. (He cowardly backed down from that one again yesterday, as he had also done in his previous legal trials.)
This lie, as covered by the inimitable Sarah Cooper OTDI 2020, falls into this category too. (Has anybody ever done it better than Sarah Cooper?)
There it is: "You'll be seeing what's going on...over the coming weeks."
